What’s new to the 2024 Honda Civic

The 2024 model year of the Honda Civic makes no changes. It’s a full carryover from 2023.

Performance

The Honda Civic makes a total of four engines available. The Honda Civic LX comes standard with a 2.0-liter 4-cylidner engine that makes 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. This engine works with a continuously variable transmission. Stepping to the EX/EX-L trim offers up a brawnier engine, which takes the form of a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. For those Citris Heights drivers interested in a performance-forward version of the Honda Civic, there’s the Si and Type R variants to consider. The Honda Civic Si comes with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. Instead of the continuously variable transmission, the Si trim comes with a 6-speed manual transmission with rev-matching downshifts. The Si trim also comes with other impressive performance features like limited-slip differential, a sport-tuned suspension, bigger brakes, and high-performance all-season tires. The Honda Civic Type R slots in as the most powerful version of the Honda Civic, offering drivers a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 315 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. This engine works with a 6-speed manual transmission and a rear wing along with summer performance tires, upgraded Brembo brakes, an adaptive sport exhaust system, adaptive suspension dampers, and a performance data recording system.
